 HISTORY:
Bead Bazaar started out as a tiny, windowless, hole-in-the-wall store on the 3rd floor of a historic building with no elevator. That was November 1988. We grew and thrived and after expanding twice in six years we left that building altogether to find a larger place. We moved into our current location on the ground floor two blocks away from our original location.
 LOCAL AREA:
Bead Bazaar is located in the Historic Fairhaven District of Bellingham WA. This is a lovely area just a few blocks up from Bellingham Bay and the ferry terminal. (As well as the bus and train terminals.) Many of the buildings date back to the late 1800’s at which time Bellingham was vying for the shipping business that Seattle eventually won. At this time there are a variety of unique local shops to browse in and restaurants to try out. We are also noted for our Greenway paths that connect the shopping district with the water and parks in the surrounding area. If you are interested in driving along the water and viewing the San Juan Islands the beautiful Chuckanut Drive leads to Fairhaven.
HOW TO FIND US: 
We are approximately 1-1/2 miles off of I-5. Take exit #250. At the stop sign on Old Fairhaven Parkway turn west towards the water. (That’s a right if you are traveling south on I-5 or a left if you are traveling north on I-5.) Continue on this road through 2 stoplights and a sharp right angle turn in the road. You’ll come up to a 4-way stop sign. This is 10th and Harris. We are across the street on the right.
